About Lindsey:
Lindsey Garwood trained in theatre at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology and at East 15 Acting School. She always loved it when things went wrong on stage and you just had to make it up, so was delighted when she found out that improvisation was an actual thing that people officially did. Besides performing in theatre and on short films she has done random work such as writing plays and other people's essays, having a slot on a pirate radio show in Spain and travelling the world as a tour guide. She recently combined her passions for history, guiding, impro and theatre performance in teaching some classes for the Bristol Old Vic. Lindsey has trained with iO Chicago and many of the best international teachers of improvisation. She began the improv jams in Cambridge and Bristol and still loves jamming in Bristol today. Lindsey is a co-director and the company manager for Closer Each Day Company, creators of Closer Each Day: The Improvised Soap Opera. She also performs with, among others, The Unnamed (makers of non-comedic improvised cosmic horror). She believes anything goes, if it comes from a truthful place, and does not think anyone needs to put themselves or their improvisation in a box, because boxes are small and not that comfy. Lindsey loves people, has a great deal of empathy and very rarely bites - she is looking forward to mentoring you or your impro troupe.
